Waves of Victory

I know that I have written a lot about spiritual warfare in my blog posts and in the book that I published last April.  The fact of the matter is that is where I have come from spiritually. I have had to fight a very tough battle in my own life to stay on my feet.  So I can tell you there are times when the battle is very tough….but I have also found that the toughest battles have the sweetest victories.

I do not believe that we have to fight the flesh and the devil all the time. God gives us a refreshing to replenish our rest in the midst of our victories.   That doesn’t mean that we need to let our guard down.   I believe we have to stay sober-minded and vigilant.  The devil plays a very deceptive mind scam. We can not look for demons around every corner. We have to look to the author and finisher of our faith and that is to keep our hearts and minds STAYED on Jesus.

There is a season to fight and then there is time to rest and recuperate.  We do not have to fight all the time.  Jesus also wants us to experience His joy and peace in our lives. It is truly our strength!! The Lord desires to replenish us and give us the sustenance to get ready for the next battle we must face.

The fact of the matter as that as long as we are alive, we have a life to live giving the glory to Jesus.  The world does need to see Jesus in and through our lives while we are alive on this earth.

In the darkest places of our mind and heart, God desires to being light upon those deep areas that we try to keep hidden because of shame and guilt.  The devil loves to hide in the dark places of our heart, and hold us in bondage.  That is the areas you need to be sober-minded and attack the enemy instead of waiting for him to come against us. It is very important that we need to take on the darkness with all our armor of Christ securely in place. Bring those areas out of the dark places of your mind and allow God to turn on His light to heal. Yes I agree that we should shine of Jesus the light to extinguish the darkness.

Demons are attracted to dark areas of weakness in the depths of our mind. I really and truly do not believe He can possess a true Spirit-filled believer. I believe though that demons can torment and oppress a believer.  I would say if you can not get a spiritual break mentally from the spiritual war going on around you then you need to find others in the body of Christ to pray you through to victory.   The thing you don’t need to do is give up during the tough times!!!

God has many victories for you, as you keep Jesus in sight, you will be able to ride the waves of victory after victory, just like a surfer riding the waves on the ocean. He may fall but he always gets back up and keeps riding the waves!

Father, help us to maintain the overcoming victory of Jesus in our lives. If we need to find prayer warriors to pray us through, lead us to those believers in Jesus name. Shine the light of Jesus in all the dark places of our life. Let us be able to move forward in our walk in Christ and refuel our hearts as we yield to Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
